Aisha El: CEO/Lead Therapist

Aisha is a co-founder of The FACTS Initiative, family and child therapeutic services. She was born and raised in Charlotte NC.  After graduating from West Charlotte senior high, she went on to earn a BA in Psychology with a focus on public health from North Carolina Central University. She later earned her Masters's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College. Aisha provides holistic counseling and integrative care to adolescents, adults, and families.

As a licensed clinical counselor, she is able to treat a multitude of mental health diagnoses and concerns. She enjoys helping induvial define and create the type of life they would like to live after a trauma has occurred and disrupted life. She uses various techniques to help clients explore and make peace with the past and figure out how to live their best life regardless. Aisha is trained in cognitive behavior therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and expressive arts therapy. She uses all of her combined knowledge to create treatment plans specific to each client’s needs. Aisha enjoys assisting individuals in navigating through various life adjustments such as becoming a parent, single parenthood, career development, and any type of family dysfunction. In addition to being a therapist, Aisha is also a dancing mindfulness facilitator. She is able to incorporate this into her therapeutic practices or offer it separately. When Aisha is not counseling, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, yoga, reading, traveling, and crafting. 

Gwen Harris: COO/  Therapist

Gwen Harris: COO/ Therapist

Gwen is a co-founder of The FACTS (family and child therapeutic services) Initiative. Gwen brings her passion for healthy and lasting familial relationships, her long-term experience working with children and young adults, plus over a decade of organizational leadership experience and formal training to the FACTS team. She emphasizes integrity and innovation in both her leadership and therapeutic styles.

Gwen was raised in Northwest Indiana and joined the Army after completing high school. She left active duty and transferred to the Army reserves to pursue her mental health career. While in school, she has held several positions as an educator. She is still serving in the Army reserves as a Medical Services officer. She has earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Military Leadership.  Gwen is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina. She is a certified TF-CBT therapist and has been trained in CBT, SFT, and NMT. When Gwen is not busy counseling and serving families, you can find her hosting events or be involved in various outreach projects.
